Centum’s Nabo Capital looking for $500mln for power project

Nabo Capital, wholly owned by Kenya’s Centum Investments, is seeking $500 million from investors for Amu Power, jointly owned by Centum and Gulf Energy, to build the 1050MW coal-fired power plant in Lamu County. Offering a 12% return over 29 years, the asset manager is targeting local pension funds to provide up to 50% of the capital.
