Grégory Clemente has taken the helm at PROPARCO following his appointment as the development finance institution’s new CEO. He took up his new responsibilities on April 1st, having succeeded Claude Periou who had held the position for the last 4 years.
Clement has had an extensive career at Agence Française de Développement, PROPARCO’s parent institution, serving in a number of roles including Director of Asia and, most recently, the Executive Director of Risk for the group.
Welcoming his appointment, Anne Paugam, Chair of PROPARCO’s Board and AFD’s Chief Executive said “I am very happy with appointment of Grégory Clement to be PROPARCO’s new Chief Executive. Since he joined the group, Grégory has demonstrated strong technical and leadership skills.
