Safaricom’s Spark Fund makes first investment

Sendy, an on-demand package delivery startup in Kenya, is the first business to receive funding from Safaricom’s $1 million Spark Venture Fund which was launched 12 months ago. While the amount of funding was undisclosed, Disrupt Africa reports that the fund’s strategy is to make investments between $75,000 and $250,000.
