As part of the management re-mould currently underway at Standard Chartered, Sunil Kaushal, the bank’s Chief Executive for India and South East Asia, has been appointed Chief Executive for the Middle East and Africa.
Kaushal joined Standard Chartered in Dubai in 1998 and has held several senior roles across consumer and wholesale banking. Prior to taking up his role for India and South East Asia in 2012, he had been President & CEO of Standard Chartered Bank in Taiwan.
He starts his new role on October 1st, replacing Christos Papadopoulos who is set to leave the bank at the end of the year.
