Vuyolwethu Nogantshi Appointed as New CEO, Shaun Harris to Assume CIO Role

Futuregrowth Asset Management has announced a strategic leadership transition with the appointment of Vuyolwethu Nogantshi as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 2025.

In a carefully orchestrated succession plan, current CEO Shaun Harris will transition to the role of Chief Investment Officer following Andrew Canter‘s departure from the position at the end of October 2025. Canter will step back from day-to-day operations but maintain involvement in the investment process to ensure continuity.

Nogantshi brings over 20 years of financial services experience to Futuregrowth. Recently resigning from Absa Bank, he previously held leadership positions at several prestigious firms including Allan Gray, Nedgroup Investments, and Alexforbes.

A qualified actuary since 2011, Nogantshi’s career highlights include executive directorship at Allan Gray South Africa and Allan Gray Life, where he oversaw strategic leadership, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Most recently at Absa, he led three business units within the Corporate and Investment Bank’s Markets division.

“Nogantshi’s expertise, leadership, and vision make him the ideal person to partner with me as we build on Futuregrowth’s legacy,” said Harris, who will leverage his extensive background in private credit and multijurisdictional financial products to lead the investment team going forward.
