Two leading financial communication firms have teamed up to form H+K Financial, creating at a stroke the largest financial communications firm in the Middle East and Africa. The new business division aims to capitalize on the growing demand for specialist advisory and investor relations services from companies in the region who are looking to tap international markets and raise their profiles with international investors.
The new venture fields 60 specialist financial communications and investor relations professionals operating from a network of 15 offices across the region, in all the most important capital markets. The division will offer full corporate and financial communications services, providing advisory services on a range of transactions including IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings as well as fund raises and other investment-related deals.
The two firms have already developed a strong relationship, having worked together on behalf of clients in the past on an informal basis, and it made sense “…to formalize an agreement to establish the pre-eminent financial communications firm in the region…” according to Sconaid McGeachan, Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ CEO for the MEA region.
The terms and conditions of the new joint venture were not disclosed.
