Tanzania looks to spend $14bln on railway infrastructure

In a bid to become a regional transport hub, Tanzania is planning to spend $14.2 billion to construct a new rail network over the next 5 years, financed by commercial loans.  The new network would meet the significant demand for transportation of cargo to its land-locked neighbors.  The government has appointed Rothschild to help secure the financing.
