Value of Q1 M&A deals targeting sub-Saharan companies hits $5.7bln

According to the latest data from Thomson Reuters,  the value of announced M&A transactions involving sub-Saharan targets reached $5.7 billion in the first quarter of 2015, almost double the amount recorded for the same period in 2014.  Most capital markets verticals saw rises in activity levels in the first quarter, leading to a 49% increase investment banking fees.
